Family Picnics

This weekend we had great time catching up with the Bailey Family. Great food, fabulous conversation and a spectaluar day. I always love being out at my in=laws's home that looks out over the Conneticut River. The kids went fishing but no catches. I completed this layout to remember that day.

I'm entering it into the BoBunny Friday Challenge. Let me know what you think!

Happy Saturday!

The weather is going to be absolutely gorgeous this weekend. It’s so nice after the hot and humid weather this last week. The storms that broke the heat managed to take another part of our tree down but at least this time it landed on our property instead of the neighbor’s. And MOST important it missed the house! I can’t wait until they come and remove it. This is a slow death for the poor thing.

Anyway before I got started on my busy weekend with a family gathering and an NESC employee crop, I thought I would post a few creations. The first card is for 2 challenges: 2S4Y Sketch 58 and OTWC #19. I've included Kim's inspiration phote--I love the colors. In addition to my traditional sewing—I added some flock to the flowers. I think it gave it a nice soft touch. Flock is so much fun

I also thought I would share some of my layouts that I submitted to the BoBunny Design Auditions. Let me know what you think and thanks for stopping by.

I've Been Busy

I thought I would share a few of the challenges that I am entering this week. The first 2 are to OTWC Challenge #18. I love the colors for this week. I tried a new technique with glitter on a transparency for my card based on a helpful technique from my friend Debbie. The only problem is the sparkle all over the room after :) The second entry is actually a sneak peak for any NESC designers in this weekend's swap. I hope you like my summer page. The third picture is Kim's inspirational photo for this week's challenge. My next 2 photos are cards for the We Memories Challenge (WMC16). This is a chipboard challenge but you could use die cuts. I used Tim Holtz's die cuts with grunge board. These diecuts are perfect for father day cards. I love the effect of inking and painting grunge board. It gives it great depth. Finally I entered a Christmas in July challenge. You can never get started too early on those handmade cards! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy my work.
